Join the City of AJ Parks & Recreation for our annual Fourth of July Celebration. All festivities take place on Thursday, July 4th, 2019. We will be kicking off events at the 4th of July Volleyball Tournament held at Superstition Shadows Aquatic Center.

The Memorial Day Picnic and Season Preview is a chance for the entire Academy family to celebrate the kick-off of the summer season! Parents, alumni, volunteers, friends and fans will enjoy a picnic lunch (served INSIDE the air-conditioned cafeteria) featuring hot dogs, beans, salad and dessert. Come and see The Academy Youth Guard, The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, and Phenom SoundSport debut their 2019 musical productions and enjoy the family barbeque as the programs prepare to launch on their summer training schedules.
Again this year, organizers are using Eventbrite to facilitate RESERVED SEATING and offering TWO PERFORMANCE OPTIONS (1:00pm & 2:30pm) to comfortably accommodate the number of attendees. Ensure your best listening and viewing experience by purchasing your tickets in advance for one of two tiers of seating, Center Reserved Seats $12 ea., and Outer Reserved seats $8 ea. With FREE LUNCH in your ticket purchase, this annual event is now THE BEST way to enjoy your Memorial Day in Arizona!
General Admission Tickets $8 are also available for purchase at the gate which includes a free lunch and non-reserved auditorium seating around the perimeter section at a first come, first served basis.
What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking for the event is free. Closest parking lot is located on the north side of the school off of Southern Ave. Once that lot is filled, other parking further away is along Ironwood Dr. and the large lot on the far south end of the campus.
What can I bring into the event?
Bottled water is allowed inside the performance. Please no food or drink inside the auditorium.
What's the refund policy?
Refunds are available through Eventbrite up to 7 days prior to the event. No refunds or exchanges beyond 7 days prior to the event.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, all purchases are confirmed with your printed tickets. Upon arriving, you will present your ticket and be handed a wristband, which will give you access to your meal and the performance time for which you purchased your ticket for. Pre-purchased tickets are reserved seating. Keep your printed ticket with you
