SOAP Up The Super Bowl 2023
Event Details
The Super Bowl will bring nearly one million people to the Phoenix area during this year's event and we know that large events such as this quadruple the demand for commercial sex in the area.
We are looking for volunteers to help SOAP Up Phoenix.
Volunteer to label bars of soaps and makeup remover wipes for local hotels and get trained on how to spot the signs of human trafficking.
Then take it one step further- help us deliver the materials along with crucial missing teen posters to hundreds of hotels and motels in the Phoenix area.
Agenda:
9:30 am - Registration & Breakfast
10:00 am - 11:00 am - Label soaps & wipes, make the folders for hotels
11:00 am - Training on how to recognize the signs of trafficking and what to say to the hotels
12:00 pm- Drive to hotels to deliver information, supplies, and posters
Training appropriate for middle school aged and older.
Must be 16 or older to go to the hotels with an adult.
COVID Restrictions:
We will be keeping an eye out for what local requirements are for COVID restrictions.
If you have not been vaccinated, we ask that you wear a mask to protect others.
We will be socially distancing as much as possible and have hand sanitizers available at the tables.
