Join us for the opening reception of our spring art activations at the ASU Art Museum.

Event Details

We are hard at work installing exciting new exhibitions throughout the museum. “New Earthworks” and “A Country is Not a House,” which will open in April and May!
In the meantime, we are offering visitors an array of activities to engage with the art and artists.

The celebration features:
Look See Draw Sketches Tempe: Aileen Martinez, Artist in Residence
The Embrace by ARENA: Artist Intervention
Highlights from the Print Study Room: Guided tour at 1 p.m.

Join us for a special guided tour of selected prints from the Jules Heller Print Study Room. The tour offers a rare opportunity to study original prints without a frame's glass, allowing for an intimate encounter with artists throughout history.

ASU Art Museum’s Public Art
Explore the museum’s public art with works by Leo Villareal, Robert Arneson, Luis Jimenez, Eduardo Sarabia, Margarita Cabrera, Matthias Pliessnig and Donald Judd.

Bandana Art in the Artists’ Workshop
Join the fun in the workshop space and make a bandana inspired by Cruz Ortiz’s mural “Summer Nite Star Dream.”
Under Conservation: Alexander Calder, “Many Pierced Discs”
